Common questions about counselling
No. My role is not to judge but to listen, support, and walk alongside you. Whatever you bring to a session will be met with compassion, respect, and understanding.
Everything you share with me is treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Your privacy is very important, and I will not share your information unless I am legally required to for reasons of safety. You can read more about this in my [Privacy Policy], but know that sessions are your safe space to talk openly.
Additionally, I attend regular supervision meetings but the material shared in these meetings is anonymised.
If something is affecting you and you’d like support, then it’s “serious enough.” You don’t need to wait until things feel overwhelming — counselling can be helpful whether you’re facing a big life challenge or simply feeling stuck and wanting change.
Counselling is about helping you build your own inner resources, not creating dependency. My aim is to support you in gaining the tools, confidence, and clarity you need so that, when the time feels right, you can continue your journey independently.
Everyone’s journey is different, and change can take time. What I can promise is a supportive space where you can process what you’re going through, gain new perspectives, and discover different ways of moving forward. Many people find that counselling helps them feel lighter, clearer, and more able to make choices that fit who they truly are.
